It was another great day out on the water with Thomas and his boys. April is prime time for striped bass fishing on Lake Lanier, and the conditions couldn't have been better day to spend the day chasing some big fish. We met up at the boat ramp and got the gear ready for an exciting 4-hour private fishing trip with No Excuses Striper Fishing.As soon as we hit the lake, we started working different techniques to find the striper bite. The boys were eager to get their lines in the water, so we started off pulling planer boards. It didn't take long before Thomas' son hooked into a nice Striped bass that put up a great fight. A little while later we moved to a different spot, and marked a giant school of stripers. We put some down lines in the water. That did the trick, and before long, we had another few Striped bass in the boat.The fish were active and aggressive, and we had a blast watching the boys reel them in. Even when the bite slowed down a bit, we kept moving around, trying different spots and presentations until we found them again. What a day we had on the water at Sardis Creek Park on Lake Lanier! I was thrilled to guide Chris and his crew of four anglers on a 5-Hour Private Fishing Trip with No Excuses Striper Fishing. March is a prime time for fishing on Lake Lanier, as the warming waters bring the gamefish like Largemouth Black Bass, Striped Bass, Florida Bass, and Spotted Bass closer to the surface, making for some fantastic action.

The weather was perfect - clear conditions all day long. We launched the boat and made our way out onto the sparkling waters of Lake Lanier, excited to see what the day would hold. We started off with some deep-sea fishing, then switched it up to jigging and trolling, trying different techniques to dial in on the fish. It wasn't long before the rods started bending, and the crew was hooked up with some feisty Largemouth Black Bass and Striped Bass. The Spotted Bass put up a great fight too, keeping us on our toes.

Throughout the day, the fishing remained strong, and we had a blast working the lake. The guys were all smiles, swapping stories and enjoying the beautiful scenery as we moved from spot to spot. <div>Right now the seagulls are a big help in finding Stripers. Choosing the right bait can be a little tricky. What's working good is large shinners pulled on weighted and no weighted planer boards. Also trolling Capt Macks Mini Mack is working also. I troll them at 1.1to 1.5 mph with my trolling motor about 80 ft behind the boat which puts your rig about 20 ft deep.&nbsp; The striper pre-spawn is fast approaching so I throw in a nice fat gizzard shad on a planer float about 100ft behind the boat.
